Anything is inspiration, a detail, an event (whether personal or in the news), any sensation, any feeling. If you trust your guts and start writing when they reacts to something, ideas will start pouring down from your brain. Not saying they will all be good ideas, but the ratio for a good idea requires you to have many ideas nonetheless. Also walk, live, experience and read.

You don't. When it's bad, all you can do is replenish your inspiration. Go for a walk or a movie, read, see a nice exhibition. When you're feeling a little stronger, try smaller works poems, very short stories, a blog post. Managing to complete smaller writing tasks is what will get you back on the track.
