Bianca Bowers I have 4 memories from that night: A single sip; lying paralysed in an alley; a blue car with 5 men; waking up in a strange room, my body bruised.
Bianca Bowers I would travel to the fictional world of Californication (the TV series), and get me an Agent like Charlie Runkel, haha. Hank doesn't know how fortunate he is, and Charlie always gets him the best writing gigs :-))
Bianca Bowers As I'm working on getting my debut novel out by 29 November '19, my reading time is slim.
The book sitting on my nightstand is: "The Beekeeper of Aleppo", by Christy Lefteri.
And the book I'm reading to my kids every night is: "Pan's Labyrinth".
Bianca Bowers I decided to write my nonfiction book about Publishing, because I have a lot of people asking me about how I have done it and for tips on how they can go about publishing their first book.
Bianca Bowers Honestly, I'm inspired by everything. Nature, music, tv, life, observations, etc. I am always contemplating life and the human condition, which makes for plenty of inspiration.
Bianca Bowers I'm working on three projects at the moment. The first is a non-fiction book book about my Publishing Journey over the last five years. It is aimed at aspiring indie authors and includes contributions from several indie authors.

The second is my debut novel, Cape of Storms (coming-of-age story, with elements of suspense). I finished writing it 2 years ago, and recently paid an editor to give me thorough feedback on how it can be improved. I will be publishing it in mid 2019 through my new imprint, Auteur Books.

The third project is my second novel, Three Hearts (Women's Fiction, about a polyamorous relationship). I finished writing that a year ago. Like my first, I will hire an editor to provide feedback before I edit it again. I hope to publish that in late 2019.
Bianca Bowers Be patient and focus on building a portfolio of creative work.
Bianca Bowers No office politics! lol
Bianca Bowers I have not experienced writer's block to the extent that it has stopped me writing. My primary challenge is the opposite of writer's block in that I have a surplus of ideas and projects, but not enough time to dedicate to all of them.

Having said that, I would say that periods of hibernation are all part of an artist's growth. I think that we put way too much pressure on ourselves to produce and perform, instead of letting things flow naturally. It's also perspective. A period of hibernation can also be seen as a period of intense personal and inner growth, the result of which will bloom at a later stage in your artistic work. These ebbs and flows, and cycles of high and low energy/output are all part of life (including our artistic lives). Once we accept that, and start paying attention to the process (versus fighting, and by extension, criticising ourselves) everything else will follow.
