Hi Julie, so happy you liked the book. I'm working on #2 in The Dragon Chronicles. Not sure about the title yet, but was thinking about Dragon Bride. It's a continuation of the first book, and centers around Andrew's mate. I'm hoping to have it out by summer. Thanks again!

Hi RC, thanks for the question. The prequel is still in the production stage. I had hoped to get it out earlier, then editing problems popped up. I would advise you to start with the first book in this series, "Ancient Echoes " You will get a good idea of the storyline, and the characters. Not all of the characters will be in the prequel, only because they developed in time. I think this is the best answer, and I do hope you enjoy it! Please let me know if this helped? Hi Julie! As always, good to hear from you. The prequel to Ancient Echoes, "Rosestone...the Beginning", is due out within the next two weeks. I planned to have it finished much earlier, but encountered a few family problems which set me back. I hope everyone is understanding! Right now, I'm doing the final editing. Hope you enjoy this one as well! Please let me know, and definitely keep in touch!

Hi, and thanks for your interest in the next book. Rosestone, the Beginning...will definitely be out sometime around Christmas. I've been taking my time with this one, trying to include the many thoughts and ideas I felt were important. Since it's a prequel to the original Ancient Echoes, it may be helpful for any new readers to get this first. As usual, I absolutely love writing anything about this series, and hope my readers will enjoy it equally. My plans are to pick up with the next in the series after this is finished. I know many people have written to ask what happened to Luthias in book three! All I can promise you is it will be very interesting, and you won't want to miss it ! As always, you can reach me by my website: barbaramonahanbooks, or ask me a question here on my Goodread's blog. I look forward to hearing from all of you!

Personally, I have to just take a deep breath and leave everything for awhile. Sometimes, the best thing to do is go read one of your favorite books, or take a walk. Whatever it is, it gets your mind off what you're trying to accomplish. Go back to it later, and you'll be surprised what you can write.

I guess it's something I should have done years ago. My Ancient Echoes Series has been very successful, but now I have readers asking me how it all started. I remember writing short stories, and sending them into large publishing companies, just to be turned down with, "Sorry, it's not what we need." At the time it was very depressing, but through much work and determination, I finally put Ancient Echoes together. Self publishing was the next step. Being my first try at writing I had my share of mistakes. I think all those attempts and stories written years ago, are what's encouraging me to write the prequel. I hope you enjoy!

Currently, I'm writing a prequel to Ancient Echoes, which will explain how it all began. It will be titled, "Rosestone, the Beginning", and hopefully be available sometime this fall. I've had many readers tell me they would like to learn about Katie and Duncan's love story. This one will involve the time leap between the 17th and 21st centuries, and have all the same magic you found in the series. Of course they'll be plenty of dark magic, romance and the most famous sorcerer of all...Merlin. I hope you'll enjoy it!

Some are more common and used in modern everyday life. Others I found by doing a lot of research on the web. I love all things pertaining to Scotland and Ireland, and spend quite a bit of time doing research on what I put in my books.
