I go back to basics. If I'm stuck on a story, I look at my original log line and notes and remember what my purpose was. Usually, I've gone off on a tangent and "broken" my story, and all I need to do is remember where I wanted to go so I can get rid of what doesn't belong and fix it.

As I type this, I have recently finished the first draft of my upcoming book, "Finding Heaven". And, as it so happens, I posted a Behind-the-Scenes post on my blog yesterday that answers this very question. Short answer?
