When I'm having trouble writing something, I don't try writing from the beginning. I start with a part of the text that I feel comfortable with or that will come easily, even if it's the last sentence. Usually that's enough to get me going; if not, I keep working on the easier parts until I've filled in my entire outline--and have a complete first draft.
