Hi Kelly - I've been carrying out some genaeology research and discovered that Rollo (Count of Rouen) was my 37th great-grandfather (shock!). But he's currently a dead-end and I can find little information on him and his predecessors. I don't suppose you found anything during your research? Many thanks Paul Cloutman
Kelly Evans Sadly no, records are so sparse that far back. He isn’t a part of my novels so my research on him specifically was less than other people I research.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Kelly Evans Get your bum in a seat and write. Get the words down. Don't worry about word count or fall into the trap that all writers face, that of editing while writing. Just write.

What are you currently working on?
Kelly Evans I'm currently working on the second book in my Anglo Saxon women series, about Edith of Wessex, daughter of one of the most powerful men in Anglo Saxon England, wife to a king and sister to another.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Kelly Evans I've always been fascinated by history, particularly the Anglo Saxon period. I was reading up on the Danish invasions and discovered Aelfgifu, a little known but immensely important woman. With only a few historical references available, how could I NOT write about her!
