Jerry Meek My phone rang and someone asked if this was Jerry - they were telling me that our 40th high school Reunion was in a month - I said it could not be me because I was not old enough (I was instantly in denial - where did the time go?). Two weeks later I heard a commencement address that spoke about what great is and more importantly what greatness is not. For the first time in awhile I looked back to when I graduated high school and wondered if I had reached my full potential. I asked myself if I was able to tell my story and the story of many others; would I be able to help just one person? After hearing the message I contacted the speaker and asked if I could use his words to start my own; he said yes. It was a journey of self discovery that showed me there is still time to become more and help others reach their full potential no matter where we are today. Yesterday ended at midnight and we can all make the choice to take steps towards our own personal greatness. There is Greatness in all of us and we do not need to settle!
Jerry Meek Having a thought or inspiration of how to help others succeed: in life and business. True greatness is about giving and helping others. This has motivated me my entire life in every endeavor.
Jerry Meek First - START! Secondly be authentic. It is amazing once we stop trying to be someone else and be our best selves what can happen. Remember that we are all an original.

I remember hearing a best selling author once say that he was successful because so many people did not write their story. Every person has at least five books inside of them. If they all wrote the book inside of them he would not have been so successful.
Jerry Meek Helping others to succeed is first. Another great aspect about writing is what you learn during the process. Learning about yourself and others during the research and digging deeper into who I really am as a person. It caused me to be more vulnerable during the process and helped me develop the confidence to share with others. The wins and the losses.
Jerry Meek It was less about writers block and more about getting focused. Scheduling writing and thinking time on my calendar (mostly early morning and weekends) along with turning my phone on airplane mode. Clearing my mind from distractions and interruptions helped the most.
