All over. Sometimes it's an article I read or something someone said to me, but usually I get my inspiration from music.

There will be seven books in the series.

Michelle, yes, Joe will get his HEA in one of the future Blind Man's Alibi books. He has to wait a while though, as his HEA will most likely be the last book in the series.
I'm so happy you loved Wrecked! I've been wanting to tell Joe and Emma's story for so long and to have readers enjoy it is the best gift ever. <3

Most of the stories I wrote as a teenager was about rock stars. I mean, what girl doesn't spin a few fantasies around their favorite musician? LOL I'm not sure why that carried into my adult writing, but when I decided to do it, I knew I had to give a different view of the music world. One where the heroes were a bit more mature and beginning to question a life of sex, drugs & rock n' roll.

Far too long what with the 80 hour work weeks I have from spring through the end of summer. Even without those long weeks I'm not a fast writer so I'd say about 3 months.

I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember. I have notebooks filled with poems, story ideas, and partial chapters from as far back as age five. Yes, thanks to my older sister, I could read and write by age five. And I did. I read everything I could get my hands on, usually re-writing the story in my head as I went. If you asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always answered something different depending on the day. I couldn’t make up my mind. Then I picked up my first romance novel. Suddenly I had my answer: “I want to get married, have children and write romances.”

The Black Phoenix series was inspired by teenage fantasies about meeting and marrying a rock star, combined with the maturity to know that a twenty-something musician is not happily-ever-after material. It began with a picture in my mind of a woman alone in a bar, playing the piano. That picture spawned a series of 'what if' questions which led to After Midnight.
When I began writing After Midnight, I never intended for it to be a series, just the one book. But then Dominic Price walked onto the page and I knew immediately that I would have to tell his story. Once I made that decision, it only seemed right to tell Thomas Sr. and Alex's story, too.

My main characters usually come to me and 'tell' me their name. (yes, I realize how crazy that makes me sound. lol) The secondary characters aren't always as easy to name. When I get stuck I pull out my 'The Best Baby Name Book'.

The first book I ever wrote and published? That would be Not Without Risk.
Sarah Grimm
Ever since I first learned to read I dreamed of writing a book. I used to scribble scenes and chapters into notebooks but never actually sat down to write from chapter one to the end until my second son was born. He was a very sick child and spent the first year of his life in and out of hospitals. It was while he was in the hospital that I wrote the first draft of Not Without Risk.
