Chelsea McDonald Ideas are always floating around in my head but this particular one came from being a member of the WattPad community for years. I got to a point where it seemed like I had read everything I could find. I'd get sick of reading something and being disappointed with how the ending turned out or how it was written. So, I put pen to paper and started writing something that I wanted to read.
Chelsea McDonald I feel I've always had a wide imagination, I can picture detailed scenes in my head and think 'Hey! That would work in a story'. I also have the craziest dreams, some are just funny but some I will write straight onto paper to save for later.
Chelsea McDonald I don't, I panic. Usually I'll leave my work and go do something else (I find I think best either while I'm driving or in the shower, I don't know why). I also find physical activity like running helps clear the mind. Later on I'll go back to my work, if I'm still blocked I'll move on to writing something different.
Chelsea McDonald Just write, it doesn't matter if what you write is crap. Get your thoughts and ideas down on paper, you can always go back to it later. And make sure you always carry something to jot your notes down on, you never know when inspiration might strike.
Chelsea McDonald I have recently started work on my next novel, Claimed, which I hope to release by the end of the year. I've also got a few other ideas I'm trying to flesh out.
