How do you deal with writer’s block?
Christy M. Jones Since this is my first novel, I haven't experienced this yet. "The Stranger In The Rain" had been inside of me for so long, so when I unleashed it, the words came pouring out of me. If I decide to do a sequel, I may experience writer's block, and if I do, I will be sure to let you know how I dealt with it! Stay tuned!!

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Christy M. Jones I love hearing someone say my story was awesome. I did not go into this world of writing for monetary reasons. I felt there was a story inside of me that needed to be told. Of course, if money follows, then I would welcome it. But, my main reason for writing a novel was more of a personal accomplishment than a financial one.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Christy M. Jones I have no writing experience, but I have a big imagination. I feel if there is raw talent, go with it. There are people out there that can take your talent and polish it. If you are rejected by agents and editors, find people around you that can proofread and give you feedback. Self-publishing is the new normal, so don't let rejections keep you from achieving your dream!

What are you currently working on?
Christy M. Jones There could possibly be a sequel to "The Stranger In The Rain". Everyone who has read this novel are asking for one. I have had a few ideas come to mind for a sequel, but right now, my current novel is my main focus.

How do you get inspired to write?
Christy M. Jones I recently retired, so my mind is now free to fly! Ideas come to me all through the day, so I keep a notebook close by and jot down my thoughts. Things around me inspire me, especially songs. I love music!

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Christy M. Jones One of my favorite songs is "All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You' by the band HEART. It is a song about a woman who uses a stranger to conceive a baby, because the person she loves cannot give her one. This song inspired me, when I wrote this novel.
