Thomas Crawford I will write a sequel to Duty and Deceit as I want to develop the characters of Niall and Henry. Before that though I need to write something lighter. I am 10,000 words into something which I want to be gripping but humorous.....I am interested in the genre of tragi-comedy.....

With Duty and Deceit I wrote it as if I was watching it as a film.... sometimes I was scared I was writing a screenplay rather than a book! I wanted to make it very evocative and atmospheric.
Thomas Crawford I glued together threads of personal interest - places I'd lived, classic cars, dogs, mystery, relationships, defunct airlines...
Thomas Crawford I take the dogs for a long walk, go to the gym or open a bottle of red wine!
