I'd always heard that my great-grandfather was killed when he was run over by a wagon. We got his death certificate, and the cause of death is listed as tuberculosis. Also, under mother's name, his wife, my great-grandmother, is listed. There is no father. He was much older than my great-grandmother (20+ years) and through Ancestry.com, we've found 1 record of a prior marriage that lasted about 5 years. There's a lot of unanswered questions about him.
