I've been catching up with Agatha Christie this year. I've already read nine Miss Marple novels since January, and now I think I'm gonna head for some of her lesser known detectives, such as Parker Pyne, Mr. Quinn and Tommy and Tuppence. Right now I'm finishing the first volume of the Cape Bay Cafe Mysteries, by Harper Lin, and have plans to read the other books of the series.

It's vital to know how publishing works. Spend money with books and courses about publishing, self-publishing, marketing, copyrights and all that jazz. There's no point in writing a great book and not being able to get it into the hands of the reader. Also, if you don't know the business, chances are other people are going to make a lot of money on your work and you'll only see a fraction of that.
