Instead this flaneuse takes to ambling the streets of New York, dropping in at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and stopping afterwards for coffee at the Nectar at Madison and 82nd. Then, enveloped by the chitchat of others, I take out a pen and scribble a few notes. .
