Since my book is a memoir, I would try and take myself back to the specific event/time/place emotionally....how was I feeling? What sis it look like in my head....then the emotions and words came flooding out. A glass of wine didn't hurt either! :)

The idea for my book was a kind of 'after thought'. It is based on my blog that I started when I was dealing with all the feelings and emotions of becoming a mom - after I had been a mom for years. I used my blog as a place to experience emotions and feelings that I hadn't dealt with and it was ultimately a place to heal. Turning my blog into a book seemed like the next step with healing and helping others that may have experienced similar feelings or events.
