Ben King Jr. 'Frank's Cut (a novelette)', was an idea I got when my sister got drunk at one of her friends wedding reception. She staggered home and passed out in bed. When she awoke the next morning, her kid was not in the house. She panicked and called the cops to report an 'Amber-Alert'. But later that day (as it turned out) our kid had been at school, but she never knew until the school bus arrived to drop the kid off.

My Sis drinks very seldom, but whenever she does, she tends to forget things. She awoke that day with a hangover and thought it was Saturday (a non-school day). But it was actually Friday (a school-day). She had just overslept the morning and her kid just caught the school bus without bothering to wake her.

After laughing my ass off when she told me that days event, I sat down behind my computer keyboard and wrote "Frank's Cut'.
Ben King Jr. Whatever I see. I like to write horror, so everything I see, my mind will ofttimes visualize something creepy. Then something clicks. I'm crazy like that, I guess.
Ben King Jr. Many things. A graphic, bloodletting Vampire novel set in a small town. And several short stories. I go back and forth between each of them whenever individual ideas dawn on me. I'm nearly finished with a horror short about an email correspondence between a husband and wife.
Ben King Jr. Nothing. I am the one who needs the advice. People have always told me that my stories were great, but my writing was atrocious.
Ben King Jr. Being somewhat of a God (forgive me lord). Breathing life into people who do not exist....then putting words into their mouths.
Ben King Jr. I pace the living-room or bedroom floor. Back and forth, back and forth while deep in thought. This only happens after I've placed a major character in harms-way and don't want to use a deus ex machina to save them.
