I have no idea. The idea of a girl who could wield a flaming sword came to me when I was in line at Chipolte with my husband. Random, right? I'd been spinning around different book ideas for months, but for some reason that one stuck!

I've always dreamed of writing a novel. I wanted to write something I would be interested in reading. Something that was exciting and suspenseful but might also make the reader think about themselves in a new way. I'm happy with how Huntress has turned out.

Someone once told me the first rule of writing is "butt in seat." Simple, but true. If you want to be a writer, you have to write! Keep writing and be on the lookout for something amazing to shine through your work, then start focusing on that.

I'm currently working on the 2nd book in the Life After Trilogy. It's going much faster than my debut novel (thank goodness!).
