It's hard to pick one thing as the BEST, but I'll try. One of my favorite things about being an author is when I visit a school to talk about my book. It's amazing to see young readers excited about reading the book I wrote. And one of my favorite moments as an author was when I was at a book fair and this girl came up to me and said she was already on chapter 7 of the book. I was so impressed that she had read so much in one day and I was so happy that she enjoyed the story enough to keep reading. It made my day.

I am currently working on a sequel to Finding Home: The Orphan's Journey. It's called Finding Home: The Lost Brother and it follows the story of Josiah, Ben's younger brother. The writing stage is complete, but now I am editing and tweaking the story before publication.
