Being both an author and an illustrator allows me to swap between the two when the creative energy isn't happening on one front. If it's still not happening, I go sit with my chickens in my garden and have a glass of wine.

I think it's in my blood. My grandfather was quite a writer, and I inherited a bit of that. I've been writing since high school. Inspiration comes from all different sources and experiences - sometimes even real and hilarious ones that have happened to me!

The next story in "The Friends of Frog Hollow" series, which has the working title "The Adventure" and is due out in early 2016 (I hope!)
The actual story is finalized. I am currently working on the illustrations. This story should have more illustrations than the first, as this story is longer.
Illustrations are a multi-step process that can take a bit of time. All the illustrations have been storyboarded and concept pieces have been proposed. I am currently at the sketching and inking phase. I still have to go through several coloring phases, and then a few digitizing passes.
