Catherine Coles Hello - thank you for your question.

The books are suitable for any age in that there is no bad language or sexual content. However I do sometimes refer to adult themes (drinking alcohol, adultery, etc.). Of course my books also have murders in them but there are no gory descriptions or scenes that would upset a younger reader.

All that said: the books are really written for adults - but if a child got hold of a copy of one of my books, there would be nothing that should distress them.

I hope that helps.
Catherine Coles I'm so sorry I made you sad :( I wasn't very well for a good deal of the last 18 months and every time I thought I had the book ready, I found plot holes, or bits of the book I wasn't happy with. In the end I mostly rewrote it because I was so sick of tinkering with it!

I hope you enjoyed it when it (finally!!) released :)
Catherine Coles Hi Norma - I hope you have managed to get hold of the book now? I'm so sorry it was delayed so many times.
Catherine Coles Hi Keith - hopefully you should have this book now. I do apologise for taking so long getting this book to readers.
Catherine Coles That's so funny! I can't believe it was postmarked the 22nd! I know that the cards were sent on the last postal day for cards getting to the US - but that definitely wasn't the 22nd! I had people letting me know their cards got to them for Christmas, some didn't get theirs until February, others didn't get theirs until Easter!!

Madness it should take 3 months, isn't it?! Glad it got to you in the end :)
Catherine Coles Hi Jane - thank you so much for your questions. I'm so sorry I have only just seen this feature on Goodreads. Another thing I need to remember to check!!

I was asked by the publisher of these books, Boldwood Books, if I would like to create a series for them to publish. I was unsure because I was enjoying writing the Tommy & Evelyn books at the time (that's not to say I don't still enjoy writing those books - I do!) so I tasked myself to sit down one weekend and see if I could come up with a character I liked enough to write about in a series of books. If I couldn't come up with one, I intended to politely decline Boldwood's offer. However Martha came to me almost straight away.

I'm a Christian so there's a thread of religion running through all of my books. I decided to make the other protagonist a vicar because I love writing a man/woman sleuthing pair. I also really love Grantchester so the idea of having a simmering will they/won't they romance appealed to me too.

I'm trying hard to focus on both series - but sometimes it's really hard! Book 4 (tentatively entitled 'Killed on the Cricket Green') should be with readers later this year and features the return of Stan!!!
Catherine Coles Hi Connie,

So sorry it has taken me so long to see this question :(

Please let me know if you are still having an issue receiving the full copy of Murder in Belgrave Square.

Catherine x
