Manning Wolfe Each of the plots in the legal thrillers I write spring from a real case in my law firm. Of course, I embellish the people and exaggerate the events, but the core issue in law is a real one.
Manning Wolfe Hey Jose - that’s an interesting question. I think lawyers develop a sixth sense about lying, and if someone will lie to their lawyer, they will probably lie easily about their actions or things they want to keep hidden. It’s a gut thing - shady characters give you a sense of instability and distrust. Then, of course, in writing there are arsonists, murderers, thieves, rapists - no telltale signs needed there.
