Sedona Capellaro The floor creaked under her feet as she slipped into the foyer and she froze. It's clawed fingers raked down her spine in a rush of white-hot agony and her trembling body dropped to the floor with a resounding thud.
Sedona Capellaro Middle Earth. I am such a sucker for that world, I want to visit Rivendell and study in the library there. I would learn to ride and fight in Rohan. I love the way that world feels so real and full of such intricate detail of the culture or each place.
Also Hogwarts, because duh... HP for life!
And Neverland! I am dying to learn to fly!
Sedona Capellaro Sometimes I think it's just the way the wind is blowing... all kinds of different things, a photo, a movie line or scene, a life event or sometimes even just the weather. I try to be open to inspiration because you never know when it will punch you in the face and help you write your next book.
Sedona Capellaro Uh well... three different new novels are in the works, the main one that I've spent the most time on is a post-apocalyptic novel that mixes a bit of science fiction with fantasy. It's been really fun, but also a challenge because I took on the task of creating a brand new world that was built on the ashes of the old one... takes some pages to get the details right for that. I'm having a blast with it though! It's still in the early phases of being written, but so far I'm enjoying creating the mix of personalities that will be starring in the book... possibly based on some people I know. I hope to get this book out sometime in the late fall, but as I said we're in the early phases so we'll see what happens... I'll keep you posted!
Sedona Capellaro Do it. I spent many years living in fear about my work being seen by anyone and worrying what others would think of it... now, I write for me. I write because I love it and it makes me happy, if my stories can reach readers and they love what I've written, that's wonderful, but I write the story for me. So I say this; have no fear, write for you and nobody else and don't be so hard on yourself... embrace who you are and love it.
Sedona Capellaro Playing pretend all day. Its the greatest job in the world, I get the honor of being a part of the Author world. It's weird to think that I'm part of that and I'm the one telling stories that make people feel something, or help them leave reality for a little while and believe in magic again.
Sedona Capellaro I watch lots of movies to get myself out of my own head. It helps to just step back from my work and distract my mind with something else, then suddenly bam! I can write again because inspiration has struck!
Sedona Capellaro The Book Thief. That's the main book I would like to read this summer. I saw the film and loved it and am really excited to read the novel. I heard it was written in a very unique way and I can't wait to check it out!
