Do you think that you will revisit the woirld of Trials again?

Thanks. I am working on finishing the third book of the "Conquests of Brokk" series. Afterwards I'd like to get back into Trials. I think the name will be "Production." What do you think?

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Thane Keller My most recent book, Trials, explores a Mars that has already been colonized. My inspiration comes from the brave men and women preparing to go on a one way journey in 2025 funded by Mars-One but I wanted to explore a world beyond their initial efforts. Trials is that world and follows a soldier and his wife as they struggle to reunite. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

How do you get inspired to write?
Thane Keller The world around me is what inspires my stories but when I'm in the mood to put pen to paper (or fingers to keys) I like to turn on dark classical music. It just puts me into my own little world!

What are you currently working on?
Thane Keller I am currently working on a novel called Fractal Space, which tells the story of two space commanders as they charge towards each other in all out war. I hope you like it!

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Thane Keller Just write. Don't worry about people judging your work, critics, or embarrassment; at the end of the day, you are telling a story that means something to you, and you'll grow as a writer and a person as a result.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Thane Keller Classical music and time off. I love listening to classical music - there are so many stories you can dream up in your head while you listen. The other thing I suggest is to not force it. Timelines and goals hamper creativity because it becomes a task rather than a hobby. If you don't know where to go next, relax, do some reading in a different genre, and take a break!
