D. Marie I never had writer's block. It was like I was taking dictation. The plot flowed. I could put the book on hold to attend other activities. When I returned to write, the story continued as if I had never stopped.
D. Marie The best thing about authoring a book is seeing the joy in someone's eyes after they have read my book. Mission accomplished, they were blessed.
D. Marie First, just start writing. I was trained to teach children how to read and write. I never thought that one day I would write a book for children to read. If you have a story in you, start writing. You never know where the plot will take you. There will be many new technologies and publishing details to learn. Take it a step at a time.
D. Marie Journey to the Glass Hill is Book 1 of a trilogy. Book 2 is edited. I am waiting on the images for the chapters. Then, I can put the book together. Book 3 is in rough draft form.
D. Marie I felt like a stenographer rather than an author with an original plot. Sometimes, I had no idea where the plot was going. Or, how the sentences I was writing were going to make any connection with the story. Then, a paragraph later, I found out the connection. It was like I read the story as I wrote it.
D. Marie Journey to the Glass Hill gets its ending from the Norwegian folktale, Princess on the Glass Hill, which is about 4 pages long. The mother is never mentioned in the story. So, I went back in time to include her and the plot flowed after that.
