I don't think I've ever experienced a mystery in my own life. I have always enjoyed the challenge of trying to figure out the answers in a good mystery story though.

I am inspired by so many things. Travel has been good for my writing but it could be a snippet of a conversation, a family story, a few words in a song. I love traveling and seeing new places that I can use as a new setting in my books.

The best thing about being a writer is that I get to play with all of my imaginary friends. Characters become so real as you are telling their tale. It's like making a new friend and seeing them happily to 'the end'.

To deal with writer's block I make myself write five words. Yep, just five words will get me going. You can't edit a blank page, after all.

Write a little every day and don't give up. If even one person enjoys your story you have succeeded.

I am currently working on a new Brides of Needful, Texas. A book called Ruth. I'm having fun with it too.

While thinking of how quickly we can lose those we love and have to find the strength to continue in our lives inspired this book.
