What a hard question for me to answer. And rather than being hard because I have so many favorites, it's because I have none. My favorite characters are often lone wolves and my favorite stories, though many include couples, are my favorites for the complexity of the individual characters or the story itself rather than for the couple. Or they are tragedies. Thomas Hardy, for example, is one of my favorite authors. Tragedy, tragedy, tragedy.

The ADHD book was the publisher's idea. Someone from New Harbinger approached Greg Crosby, and he recruited me as co-author. It was an unexpected opportunity for which I am grateful to Greg. The book's ideas mainly came from our knowledge of the research on ADHD, our years of running adult ADHD groups for Kaiser Permanente, and the different ways ADHD has affected our personal lives.

I love writing. It's hard for me to stop. When working on the ADHD book, I'd rise at 5 AM to work on it before my family woke up and the rest of my day pulled my attention away.

Several children's picture books and a middle grade one. Then I hope to turn to a YA novel that's been on my mind.
I'm also working on my author blog which is focused right now on ADHD.

Commit to it and learn from other writers. Be aware that you will revise, revise, revise and when you think it's the best it can be you'll likely need to revise again. Also try to develop a thick skin because you can expect rejections and anxiety-provoking reviews.

So far, it has yet to hit me. I have so many different writing projects, if I struggle with one, I move on to another. With the ADHD book, deadline after deadline kept me going.
