Bhavin Shah I think the most favorite fictional couple that remains close to my heart will always be Gerry and Holly for PS I Love You. There are like normal couples who fight, kiss and make up. The most touching part about them is that Gerry knows he is dying and he will have to prepare Holly to get out of mourning as soon as possible. He does that by storing a few letters for her that get posted after his death. I see no better love than the one between these two.
Bhavin Shah Writer's block is the worst nightmare for any writer. There are times when I cannot write a single word in spite of having ideas or resources available. I vividly remember taking 6 months to complete "Haven 1.0" and 18 months to finish up "The Death of A Phoenix". At times, the frustration of incompletion or dissatisfaction took a toll on me. I would feel demoralized to such an extent that sometimes I would feel like scrapping the whole idea. But I realize that suffering from writer's block is a normal thing. It is okay to fail in writing sometimes. There is nothing to feel ashamed about it. It's perfectly normal. Whenever I feel that I cannot write anymore, I temporarily forget about myself being a writer. I resort to reading lot of books, magazines, newspaper articles. At times I try doing something that I haven't done before. Like once I tried my hands on cooking. I also love travelling. It helps me rewind myself.
Bhavin Shah Recognition has never been the prime reason behind my writings. Expression of myself and my views surely is the reason. The best thing about being a writer is being expressive. An old proverb says, "A pen is mightier than a sword." Writing makes me feel strong yet subtle, invincible yet mortal. Writing keeps me grounded and focussed. The best thing about being a writer is that it sets my imagination free. Like I always say, "I sin by my thoughts... Writing cleanses me."
Bhavin Shah There is no such thing called "advice", there is only "opinion". Any writer who aspires to become a published writer some day should follow writing as a ritual or a habit. Everyday we brush our teeth, we bathe, we have food irrespective of our schedules. Make sure to put "writing" in your daily to-do list. The day you skip writing, you should skip your daily habits as well. It doesn't matter whether you write 100 words or 1000 words per day. What matters the most is being honest and serious about your passion of writing.
Bhavin Shah I have two manuscripts on the verge of completion. The first one is a romantic novel by the name of "Jack and Rose." The other one is a mythological fiction thriller called "Victor." I intend to release them in the near future.
Bhavin Shah Anything that awes me or makes me feel challenged, inspires me. It could be anything as simple as a cup of coffee, an empty paper or as complicated as haven and life in general. The very first poem that appears in my book is a Haiku. Honestly speaking, nothing is more complicated for me than writing a perfect Haiku. It may look as simple as a three-lined poem consisting of seventeen syllables but it is more than that. I have also challenged myself with trying other different forms of poetry. I have managed to do justice to most of them. I get inspired by movies, incidents of my life, random anecdotes and so on. My mantra for staying inspired is, "Keep your eyes open. Your source of inspiration is just a sight away."
Bhavin Shah I have been writing poetry since the age of 10. Though I got more inclined towards this art at the age of 15. Writing is more like a ritual to me and poetry is my favorite form of prayer. It is very easy to express ourselves through prose. We write blog posts. We write short stories and novels. But poetry has its own enchanting effect. In my opinion, poetry is a better medium to express our feelings, emotions, state of mind. My book "I Gift You Poetry" is the result of the penance that I have been doing since 20 years.
