B.R. Turnage Chocolate chip cookies. Lol.

There is no way for me to answer that question. At this point it is not whether I can write, it is what I will write. This isn't bragging. It is part of the madness of writers. Once the spigot gets turned, you can't stop. It like the other question asked of writers, "where do you get your ideas for stories." The answer to that is "The answer is not where. The answer is how. How do I make them stop!"
B.R. Turnage Many things, but first and foremost is to finish the last installment of Arekan's War.
B.R. Turnage As Chuck Wendig says, "write as much as you can, as often as you can, and finish your stuff." You can read a hundred books about writing but the only way to learn about your writing process is to learn by doing.
B.R. Turnage The best thing about being a writer is that it is my job. No really. I worked many years in corporate America and was downsized out of my job which I held for ten years. It was not the happiest point in my life. And because the industry in which I worked was undergoing rapid change the jobs that normally would be there for me weren't. It was marvelous when I woke up the day after I secured my first ghostwriting client and realized, "I have a job and it's writer." Yeah.
B.R. Turnage Forced Labor is a prequel of the Mor'a'stani Chronicles (in progress). In the Mor'a'stani Chronicles, one character, Santir owns a bar and restaurant where he prepares meals. As I came to know more about Santir I had to ask, "but where did he learn how to cook?" In crafting the story of Arekan traveling to Karn I thought it would be interesting to put Arekan and Santir together, two different, but parallel sides to the same coin. I thought it was a nice touch to have Arekan teach Santir how to cook showing in one way the lasting effects Arekan had on the people of the Windshadow Complex.
B.R. Turnage For everyday, "I'm not sure if I can get the words out?" I examine the story, figure where it derails, and write an outline to fix it.

Another thing I find helpful is don't think ahead to what you will be writing. Live in the moment of what you are writing now. Drill down so that you feel and think everything your characters feel and think. Be there with them. That almost always works.
