Carl J. Nicita Stop it. You're Scaring Me. Written by Jonathan Mumm. Its a ghostly tale of Vikingsholm, located on Fannette Island in the middle of Lake Tahoe.
Carl J. Nicita The answer to this is of course complicated. My first thought is that how I ended up moving to California would be a great plot - but that was basically what my first novel was about (entirely fictionalized of course.) Another interesting idea would be a behind the scenes look at what happened when I decided to run for City Council. A lot of juicy stuff there that would make a great novel plot for sure!

Carl J. Nicita When I was writing this novel and I hit a road block, I made sure I turned on music - so I could take myself back in time. You'll find that music is a major component of my story - there are 53 songs mentioned in the book. It worked!
Carl J. Nicita I've held a secret passion for writing all my life. And once I retired I decided now is the time to go for it!
Carl J. Nicita I'm trying to flesh out a sequel to my first novel which comes out December 1st. But I'm not sure which direction to take it right now.
Carl J. Nicita I will offer this advice which I received from the late Stephen J. Cannell (one of my favorite authors of all time) - write one page a day - everyday! That's all it takes.
Carl J. Nicita The best thing about being a fiction writer is watching the characters take on a life of their own - and then being able to take the story anywhere I want it to go! It's an exhilarating experience!
