M.E. Hembroff I wrote a short story about a girl who dreamt she was visiting Anne in Anne of Green Gables. So I will say I would like to visit LM Montgomery's world in her books and meet her characters. Maybe have tea with Anne and Marilla.

M.E. Hembroff I don't think there is a mystery in my life but I will go to a recent dream. In the dream I was in a hotel or group of cabins. Why was I there? Where was it? I don't know. There was a group of people and we were all assigned different rooms that surrounded an open area. There was confusion about who had what room.
M.E. Hembroff It is hard to pin point it down to one fictional couple but I will go to my all time favorite character. Anne in Anne of Green Gables has always been one of my favorite characters. The story of her and Gilbert was one of the first romantic attachments that touched my heart. In the original stories not the TV version they formed a lasting friendship that lead to courtship. They had a relationship that lasted well after their children were grown.
M.E. Hembroff Well that can't be fun. Try taking ten minutes and just write down whatever comes to your mind or maybe try fresh material. I haven't had that problem but one book you might try is The Artist's Way. Can't remember the author but if you ask at your library they should be able to find it for you. It is full of helpful exercises.
M.E. Hembroff I use a rough outline and make a few notes about where the story is going and where it will end. I don't think there is a right or wrong way to start writing. It is different for each person. I can often visualize what the main characters are like when I start writing.
M.E. Hembroff I don't think I have had real writer's block. When I am stuck with a story problem I just leave it for a while, go for a walk, work on a painting or work in the garden. Some times solutions come to me when I am sleeping.
M.E. Hembroff It is therapeutic because it releases pent up emotions that would stay buried. Writing releases my imagination.
M.E. Hembroff To read a lot of books and write in a journal. Write short stories based on one of your favorite subjects.
M.E. Hembroff Some of my inspiration comes from dreams, photographs and comments people make.
M.E. Hembroff The idea for Bess's Magical Garden came from the time my oldest daughter adopted a cat when our house was being renovated. The next door neighbor didn't want the cat around their new baby and had threatened to put the cat down. My daughter had fallen in love with him at the time and named him Goofy.
