I conduct a mindfulness meditation group which is psycho spiritual in nature, and so we discuss many issues that spiritual practitioners have to deal with. Often meditators glimpse the fine line between sanity and feeling crazy, being present and being lost, distracted, elsewhere. The book was an outgrowth of such discussions. Also money, food/substance, and sex/pleasure are the ingredients of everyday life, the places where we can practice mindfulness or get caught up in addictive behaviors.
