Hi My name is Byron Adamson and I see you have written a book about John Vassos. He was my uncle and I knew him well. He was an amazing man. I have many of his original paintings, books and other items he was involved with as they were passed on thru my family. I was just curious how you came to write a book about him? And I am excited to read your book.

Danielle Shapiro Hi Byron, Thanks so much for your note and for reaching out. I discovered John Vassos when I was working on an exhibit on industrial design at the Cooper Hewitt and thought his artwork was amazing. I wrote my PhD dissertation on him, and found out incredible radios and televisions he designed for RCA - then I turned this into a book. I can't wait for you to read it. It is wonderful that you have materials from him. He was incredibly talented and important! I hope to also curate an exhibit on him eventually and would love to let you know about it.
