The same way I get inspired to read, I love being able to escape into a different world or life or reality that is just filled with so much information and detail. But what really hooks me with writing is that I get to control it all (mostly, sometimes the story has it's own ideas regardless of what I think).

More years back then I care to count, I really got into faerie-lore and I was reading every YA book on Faeries that I could get (which translates to what I could afford after I paid all my bills as I was a poor college student with this thing about needing to own the books I read, so in reality I didn't read all that was out there but I'm still working on that). Anyway, I found myself starting to rewrite the plots as went, thinking 'well I would do this' or 'what would happen if this had happened like this' or "I would write a faerie-lore story about this'. Now this wasn't the first time I had done this but it was the first time I really got into and started writing out full pages in my head. So, I figured, why not write it out on actually paper.

I am working on a few projects at the moment. My primary focus is the follow up to 'Tangled Web' which will be called 'Checkmate' and should be out spring of 2016. However, I am also working on a YA steampunk novel that I hope to publish in the summer of 2016 and I am working on a Christian romance novella that I will publish in November of 2016.

Make the time to write. No matter what is going on in you life, even if you can only set aside ten minutes a day, sit down and write for those ten minutes. And no matter what anyone says remember, this is your dream, your passion, your goal. It is not a hobby, it is not a side project, it's not something you're just dabbling in. Even when you can't dedicate the bulk of your day to it, or you have another job, writing is still where your heart is and that is what matters.

So many things! I can't just pick one. I love being able to explore all the daydreams in my head that use to interfere with my work and responsibilities but now are my work and responsibilities. I like being my own boss. I like setting my own schedule. I like that I can work pretty much whenever and where ever.

I take a break and work on another project, sometimes even a project I don't intend to do anything. I write best and have the best production when I'm not actually thinking that hard about it. So if I work on something else, the piece I am having trouble with just simmers in the back of my mind until I can go back to it without the block.
