On my current project, the Emaleen Andarsan Series, if I am not sure what to do next with my story, I have a conference with my my two children, a daughter who is 11 and a son who is 9 (my creative assistants). Often these talks take place in the car on the way to school or to an activity. Working out the stumbling blocks with them has been such a joy.

I am really enjoying writing the story and getting to know my characters. It is almost like reading a book and getting immersed into the story. I have also enjoyed working on the current project with my two children and discussing ideas with them. It is fun to be creative and to hear my children being creative. I have been very amazed at the ideas that they have contributed.

The character of The Peerless Seer came to me in a dream one night over a year and a half ago. I discussed the idea with my children, and that started many discussions with them that inspired the course of the story and the additional characters.

I am working on final edits to book 1 of the Emaleen Andarsan Series, entitled The Peerless Seer. I am also working on book 2 of the series and it is currently untitled.
