My best advice is to just write. Write and don't stop until you have a story that you love. If you love it their is a good chance someone else will love it too. Don't listen to the self-doubt in your head.

The best thing about being a writer is getting to do something I love. I always have a story in my head and being a writer lets me get it out for everyone else to enjoy too.

I think the best way to deal with writers block is to put the lap top down and walk away. I may need to stop writing for a day or two. I have to put my mind on something else and when I least except it the story comes to me.
