Alexa Nichols Good question! The things that inspired me to take the plunge are 1) my passion for writing, and 2) the backlog of story ideas said passion was creating. They just kept piling up. One day I went through my computer, sifting through all the rough drafts and (in some cases) nearly finished stories and it dawned on me that I would never live long enough to tell all these tales that mean so much to me.

That's what did it. I knew that before I died, I had to give birth to my babies.

So I put my head down, researched my little ass off about the business end of everything, figured out how to intelligently schedule my day, and went at it - fine-tuning every element of the process as I went. Something I'm still doing.

😊
Alexa Nichols Let me start my answer with a question: I understand from the comment you left on a review for my very first book (No, Daddy! I'm Not Mommy!) that you think I badly need an editor, but why would you choose to further take time out of your life to come to my author page and post this question?

Seriously, what's your endgame here?

Out of curiosity, I went through a bulk of the 468 reviews you left from books you actually read (not just the excerpt) and found that you are one of those readers that is highly critical of the things you read. I've never understood readers like you, readers that instead of just enjoying a story feel the need to pick it apart and evaluate every molecule of it - and then attempt to humiliate not only the book but the author.

You are a reader type I will never understand, a kind that I honestly find disgusting.

Now to finish answering your question, when I first started writing I didn't have any editor - or even Grammarly. I just wrote. You know, for fun. Now, I'm in the process of going through my old books and bringing them up to snuff, but I've written quite a few, so this takes time.

In the future, if you ever have an issue with me or my works, please contact me via email or through a direct message on social media. I'm very easygoing (as you can probably see on social media) and not difficult to contact. There is no reason to try and publically humiliate someone.

The internet is a tool for communication, not a shield for cowards.
Alexa Nichols Hells yes I am! 😅 I'm just finishing up the books in my Nephilim series first (I have four more to go) and then it's loli-time! I've already drafted not only the next Killer Lolis book (Hunt for the Lolistone) but also a companion book that will be released and updated as the series goes forth (the Lolinomicon). I'm a nerd, I know. 🤗
Alexa Nichols I am so simple. 😅 My favorite food is hamburgers and fries, and my favorite beverage is - believe it or not - water. If I'm writing I drink coffee, or if I'm feeling like pampering myself a cappuccino. I'm in love with McDonalds McCafe line. 🤗
Alexa Nichols That is so hard. I like them all for different reasons, to be honest. I get something different from each of them. I don't think I have a single favorite! :-(
Alexa Nichols Vincent Vega and Jules from Pulp Fiction! Though they aren't technically a couple in the romantic sense, they compliment each other well, and seem to feed off each other in a fascinatingly synergistic way. Loves em.
Alexa Nichols I just thought it would be a funny idea. It's kind of an ode to those goofy cheerleader films of the 80s and 90s.
Alexa Nichols I'm constantly inspired to write. It's not something that I actively pursue.
Alexa Nichols The Secret Life of Miel, an erotic psychological/paranormal romance thriller.
Alexa Nichols Dedicate time every day to your writing - and try to make it early in the morning, before you do anything else of consequence. And don't be afraid to get people to critique your work!
Alexa Nichols Freedom to unleash your imagination!
Alexa Nichols I work on another element of my book - like cover design, acknowledgements, research, or maybe just checking out magazines and video games for inspiration on things to add to liven up my story.
