I was on holiday in 2012, we were staying in a beautiful house right by a lake. It was such an inspirational setting, and one night I had a dream. In my dream I saw two people in love, an Indian man and a white woman. Their love was fierce, passionate and forbidden. I knew they were in hiding and that exposure would mean the end of their relationship. Long after I woke up I wanted to know why, I wanted to know what had forced them into hiding, what were they running from?
I now know this couple as Sachin and Clara. Over the years, this story has been the focus of my perpetual daydreaming, and it was an honour to be able to write it out.
