Aside from telling stories? When a reader tells you how much their story touched their heart. A friend of mine recently told me "You've become my favorite author." There is nothing better than hearing that.

Beat it with a hammer! Okay, so I don't use a hammer. I tend to bash my head against a virtual wall until an idea comes through. I write a blog post, or sit down and write a descriptive scene of a stormy night. Rain and Mud are particularly inspirational as they cover the senses, The feel of the mud, the smell of it, the sound of thunder and the drops of the rain, it's just really inspirational for me.

I always have several projects going, but I am working on breaking into the Fantasy genre. I have a Tolkien-esque task I am working on. Short Stories, Novels, Maps, Covers, the whole nine yards. The setting is called Legends of Vandor.

Lots of reading. I like bending genres too, so if I am reading a spy novel I start to wonder what that would be like in a Space Opera or an Epic Fantasy. Also, pictures. Right now I am really hooked on George Redhawk's moving art, it gives me inspiration to really get down to gritty and realistic description.

The Infinity Verge Series originally started as a test to myself. I wanted to create a science fiction setting that allowed exploration and adventure. I thought of a name, Abel Cain, and I just pictured this starship pilot who was at odds with himself.
