Kimberly King My children provide the inspiration for my books. I have three of my own children who have inspired me for a variety of reasons. Also, the children who have passed through my kindergarten classes provide a huge amount of inspiration and motivation.

Kimberly King Start writing in a journal. If you have a wild idea at 2 in the morning... go write it down. Share your work with others and get feedback. It is important not to share your work with just family. Your family might be a little bit biased and just thing anything you do is wonderful. Join a writing group and share your story or book with other people you don't know. You will get a more objective advice and feedback.
Kimberly King The best thing about being a writer is that I am allowed to share my experiences as a mom and teacher and help other parents. If I can share what I have learned with just one person, and it helps them... that makes me happy.
Kimberly King I usually go to hot yoga and sweat out writer's block. More often than not, my mind starts writing the next page or the next book at 2 in the morning.
