Bryce, I'm highly curious as to your writing process; is it more of a structuring things bit-by-bit thing with you in a Brandon Sanderson sort-of way or do you tend to lean more toward freeflowing with a basic idea in your mind of the story itself, or perhaps not even that? You mentioned in one of your Q+A's down below that you're a 'slow writer', so I'd love to hear more about how you deal with that sort of stuff!

Bryce O'Connor I am a Lv.99 pantser! I have some very very limited idea of where I want to go with a story, but even those basic plot points and scenes I have in mind don't always end up coming into being when the story decides to go in it's own direction!

I loved Iron Prince and what I've seen of the upcoming sequel. If you had to recommend just one of your other books to someone that got hooked on your stuff from Warformed, what would it be?

Bryce O'Connor Frankly if you are looking for a hookup like Warformed, I would not recommend my other stuff since it's very different. I would check out r/ProgressionFantasy for recs, or pick up Phil Tucker's Bastion, Will Wight's Cradle, TurtleMe's The Begining After the End, or any other number of great progression fantasies!

Hey Bryce, not sure if you still answer questions on here. Any updates on the second book for Iron Prince? I'm just about over half way through but I am always hesitant to finish books in a series until the next book comes out so I'm not left on a cliffhanger haha.

OMG I am LOVING Iron Prince. It is on track for my first 5 star of the year. Im doing the audio book and gotta say best Ive ever heard. Im feeling things here. Are you bringing back same narrator for the rest of the series? Please say Yes? This is blowing me away its just amazing.

Bryce O'Connor Luke is definitely the target narrator for the series! We'll have him as long as he wants to stick with us!

I've been dying for Warformed #2! Following the patreon and everything but haven't seen a time period for a release yet. Any idea when that will come out?

Bryce O'Connor No solid date just yet, sorry! I am a very slow writer, sadly, but I'm trying to wrap the book before the end of the year!

Hey Bryce!!Read Iron price. Thought it’d be an average fiction. But have to say, you and Luke, built something great. Though there are other stories out there with same set of science-fiction concept. Your book had some incredible characters as a origin story. Especially,the Male lead with his grit and will to face his problems.So, when will we get the next book? A date would be difficult but month name would suffice!

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Will the Warformed series always be young-adult, or is there any chance it gets a little more 'gritty' as the characters grow older?

Bryce O'Connor Not sure yet! I know I like happy endings, but in all my other projects I've always made my character fight and struggle for it...

So we will have to see!

Hello Bryce, It has been ages since I have found a book that enraptures me as the wings of war series has. Raz's character was done perfectly, you do an awesome job in conveying emotion, especially through his character. Just curious, what inspirations did you take, and/or what did you research do to form the religion of Laorin, and also more specifically, their aversion to killing?

Bryce O'Connor Hey Christian! Hate to give you a lackluster answer, but there honestly wasn't a lot of deliberate research done when it comes to the Laorin. Honestly they're just a culmination of a lot of outside influences, primarily (probably) the most positive influences I've had with people of the Christian faith in particular. I'm not much for faith myself, and have had some bad experiences due to that in the past, but I've also met some wonderful people while exploring the concept. I think they are the major influence.

Bryce O'Connor We're shooting for late 2021! Considered prioritizing it to ASAP, but we owe a LOT of people *The Shattered Reigns II* first!

Just finished Of Sand and Snow (The Wings of War, #5) and I was a little disappointed in the sudden ending. Wing of War 6 ?????

Bryce O'Connor It will be coming! I have books due in two other series first, then I plan to get right back to it and hopefully actually wrap it, this time!

Are your books for adults or kids and what is the sex/nudity level in your books? Thanks

Bryce O'Connor Hi Abby! I would not recommend my books for anyone under the age of 14/15. There are minimal scenes of sex & nudity, but as this is a dark fantasy world those scenes are often used in a way that children may find upsetting.

So Of Sand and Snow seems to be out. Is there an ETA on the audio release? I'm dyslexic and I'm excited for the story. Also, after The Wings of War is done would you consider doing a book of anthology stories? The stories that are hinted at that we didn't get to see like Talo's last fight, Syrah's adventures in those ten interim years, a day in the life of Raz's mother, ect.

Bryce O'Connor "Of Sand and Sun" is in process of being recorded as we speak and should be out sometime this summer, if not earlier!

As for the anthology stories, unfortunately once I wrap The Wings of War, it will be time for me to put a lot more time into my other live projects, like The Shattered Reigns, The Godforged Chronicles, and a couple other pies I am currently juggling!

Bryce O'Connor Hi Lana! I really try to compartmentalize the creation process, so in between launches my beta and ARC teams signups and closed. However, about a month before any book goes live, you will see posts go up on my Facebook and Twitter announcing the opening of the team.
