Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Candice L. Martin I have been involved with dogs of all types in all different ways throughout my life. I have owned two Akitas, but wish I had more because I find the breed so intriguing. Naturally, the main character of SOLITAIRE, A Dog Story is of this breed. The dog pictured on the paperback cover is Macha, my last girl, at 10 months old.

What are you currently working on?
Candice L. Martin I have three projects started...we'll see which one wins. The last is a non-fiction book, my first, but I know exactly where I want to go with it. It's built around a 'pet' peeve of mine...
