For God's Little Red, it started out with just a kernel of a joke. I saw a long line of angels waiting to draw various animals while a very teacherly God crossed out the ones he didn't like. Then some wisenheimer angel would come and start making all kinds of crazy things once God's pen ran out of ink. Luckily, as I started to work on it, it became more rounded and flushed out. Gone was the smart-ass angel; replaced with a sweet little thing truly concerned about her creations.

At the moment, I'm putting some finishing touches on a second short about time travel-ish things while gearing up for a big push into a new novel. That one is going to be a romantic comedy wrapped in a monster movie told as, well, a book.
