I broadly write in the field of science and religion, whether that is from an academic point of view, or from a deeply personal angle. I am inspired to do so because I think engagement with our world, and with the science that describe it, is essential to finding out who we are and how to live.

I was diagnosed with cancer of the lymphatic system when I was 21. Recovery from the diagnosis and treatment, and learning to live in remission has been part of my spiritual journey and my formation as a priest. I wanted to write because there are so few books about surviving cancer, and about the disease for a Christian audience. I wanted to write about my story in the hope that others will engage with their experience and find healing
