Heather Dawn Robin My favorite couple is that of my own Shannon and Carlos because it epitomizes that unalterable, increasingly intriguing draw that most women want in a relationship. To be pursued by a winsome, highly desirable and successful powerhouse (even after he becomes aware of her uglier secrets) is unspeakably gratifying. At least, for me!

Second in the running for my favorite fictional couple is Beverly Jenkins' Night Hawk couple, Ian and Maggie, for essentially the same reasons.
Heather Dawn Robin Ha! Great question. Here is how I deal with writer's block. I stop. I get up from my computer and walk away. When I focus on other things, a lot of times I get flooded with ideas. There are so many times I'll be in the shower trying to figure out how to remember the exact wording that comes to me. Also, it helps for me to print out my pages, read the content there, and ask myself what I need to achieve from my words.
Heather Dawn Robin The best thing about being a writer is to hear from my readers that I've achieved exactly what I hoped to accomplish.
Heather Dawn Robin Don't give up, no matter what your circumstances look like. Someone out there wants to read what you've got inside.
Heather Dawn Robin In between the live sporting and entertainment events that I do, I'm working to promote my first novel, complete my sequel, produce an audio book, and grasp this social media technology.
Heather Dawn Robin Inspiration to write came as catharsis. In retrospect and healing from a lost marriage, God lead me to rediscover a short scene I'd written prior to leaving for college. The idea took root, and I would simply escape in the story God was unfolding before me. I was provided with the quality of entertainment I wanted to visualize, and in the process of time, I learned how much others desire such style of entertainment, as well. That's when my public birth as a storyteller began.
Heather Dawn Robin The idea for my most recent book came to me when in I was in high school, perhaps due to my fancy with Harlequin romances at the time. I wanted to read about the type of guys that piqued my interest, so I toyed around with a a scene. Ironically, that scene is what God lead me back to several years later in 2012, and it became the opening scene of my novel, Imbroglio.
