My writing tends to follow my interests, so you could say I'm always researching. Whether it be for a grand concept or for a specific detail to make sure the science in the novel makes sense, I've spent days looking for the answer to a single question before. It is important to me that the reader can tell I've looked into whatever it is I'm writing about, so that they can enjoy the narrative without having to look things up for themselves.

I am currently conceptualizing two stories: a dystopian novel and a medical mystery. Both have unique concepts involving common scientific phenomena, which means it will take a lot of world-building and preparation. I plan to finish at least one of these by 2017.

As much as I love an alien story, I began to see a pattern in the media...particularly in cinema: An the extraterrestrials are hostile and attempting to invade and take over the planet. The human race seems to have little to no chance of surviving against the firepower or the alien race. That is, until the human spirit, in the likes of Will Smith (Independence Day), Tom Cruise (War of the Worlds), or Aaron Eckhart (Battle: Los Angeles) finds a way to counteract that disadvantage and give the world a fighting chance. Now, this is a great story line, but I wanted something unique. So I made a unique story of my own over the last four years. I feel that Immortal Peace takes a completely new take on the idea of an alien visitation, and will keep readers guessing as to what their true intentions are, even after the final sentence.
