One of the most satisfying things about writing is the opportunity to touch other people's lives. A story in a book is merely a vehicle to express to people an idea or perspective. If I can get readers to stop and think while at the same time being entertained, then I've done what I set out to accomplish.

The only way you can. Labor on. Push through it. Often times though just taking a break, going for a run or listening to some music will free up my brain and get the juices flowing again.

Actually, it came to me in bits and pieces. Probably while I was running or taking a shower or mowing the grass. The times when I'm alone and can allow my brain to unplug from the stress of life are when I get the best flow of ideas. I then scramble to write them down before they're gone.

My biggest inspiration is the daily commitment, the dedication to honor, and the selfless sacrifice exemplified by the men and women of the military, intelligence and law enforcement communities. I simply cannot put into words what freedom's finest mean to me and my family. This world is full of so much pride and selfishness, but the people in these fields go against the grain. They stand for something. For freedom, integrity and honor. Their daily sacrifice is just so impressive to me.

I'm working on book #2 in the Warrior Spy Thriller series: Artifacts of Conspiracy. I hope to have it out by fall 2016.

Simple. Never give up. Not ever. You will have frustration. That is a promise. But strive on. The journey is necessary. I feel so strongly about this, I will say it again. NEVER GIVE UP!
