Dear Laren was inspired by a Carrie Underwood song. If you read it, you should be able to tell which one. I was listening to one of her songs...on repeat in the CD player...and thought, maybe it didn't have to be that way. The more I thought about it, I decided I needed to write this down. Thus, Dear Laren was born.

I go back and read what I have already written. This usually helps get me back on track. My books sometimes have a theme song, so it helps to listen to that song as well.
