K.B. Wagers Hey Fiona!
I love them too and have a story idea to write about them but at the moment don't have a contract to write it. Maybe someday!

K.B. Wagers Hey LoD!

Emmory and Zin got married on 15 Paush 2987, long before the start of Behind the Throne. They'd been together since childhood, as their families were friends and they were paired as Trackers at their entry into the program in 2972 (the year Emmory turned 12 and Zin turned 10).

It does get missed a lot but Hail calls Zin, Emmory's husband toward the end of chapter 27 in BTT.

Hope this helps!

K.B. Wagers Morning Kelley! Glad you're enjoying it!

Hail's position of power made it challenging to develop any really strong friendships that would be visible to the reader between her and other nobles and/or her Guards. And since the book is through her eyes it was also challenging to give the reader a glimpse of the background relationships.

*laughs* All that to say that there are good friendships between women going on on the periphery that I hope the reader can see, but Hail is sadly somewhat isolated due to her position as empress.

K.B. Wagers Butt in chair, hands on keyboard. *winks*

Seriously though, that's the only "cure" for it. I don't really get writer's block as long as I'm sitting in my office working. It's when I allow outside distractions to interfere that it can get hard to write. If I'm really struggling with a scene I'll take a walk to clear my head and give my brain a chance to work on the problem. That almost always works.
K.B. Wagers A lot of reading - both internet (things like Wikipedia/Hindustan Times) and books. Some of it is guesswork and liberties, trying to decide what kinds of things would survive the time and distance from Earth, how rituals would evolve and that sort of thing.

I also have a very dear friend who was kind enough to beta read for me and who is very patient with my random questions. :)

Thanks for the question!
