I have always been interested in the convict era of Australian history, having studied it for my degree. I was fascinated by the lives of the people that had no choice but to travel to the other side of the world, so I decided to write about one such family. It went on from there, to become a full blown novel.

I am editing my second book in my trilogy of books entitled 'A Celtic Trilogy.' 'Alice's Secret' tells the story of the next generation which started with 'Elen.'
I am also researching the third book (as yet untitled) which will end the trilogy. It will tell the story up until WW1, so I have a lot of reading ahead of me.

Just keep on writing, and try and write everyday, even if it is just some doodles on a writing pad, or on a blog - just write it down and the ideas will flow.
