The idea for Borrowed Magic actually came from the big dystopian craze. I thought how some of those themes could be adapted to a magical world. One of the themes that is prevalent in dystopian is that the world or society isn't what it appears to be. So I started there and then worked backwards, asking why wouldn't a magical world be what it appears? And it just went from there!

I'm currently doing final edits on my next book, Blessed. It's another YA Fantasy that's kind of Mediterranean based. It will be a trilogy and I'm aiming for having it out by August 2016.
I am also outlining the second book in the Blessed series and also have a developing idea for a fantasy set in a Japanese setting!

Creating the characters and worlds is probably my favorite. I just fall in love with my characters and love playing around with their lives.
